Hi, my name is Shane Woodward and I’m proud to be a member of the Green Bay community and privileged to be a member of the Board of Trustees for Green Bay School.

My wife and I are originally from Nelson but have called West Auckland home for more than 20 years. We have three children: one at Green Bay School, one at Green Bay High School and one at Auckland University.

In my day job, I am a software engineer with a long history of technical, team and project management. I have spent a long time in the legal and accounting sectors, and latterly I have been involved in a wide range of clients spread across banking, insurance, utilities, education, sport, and Government. This skillset is especially useful as our schools and curriculum transition to being more technology-centric – it is important to know when (and what) technology is the answer and when it isn’t.

My overarching aim of being on the Board is to contribute to making Green Bay School the best it can possibly be. Student achievement for all students is our number one priority while offering as many curricular and extra-curricular opportunities as possible. We achieve this by setting a clear strategic direction for the school and enabling the teaching staff and management to deliver on those plans. We want the Green Bay community to be proud of their school, and when our students are old we want them still talking about how awesome and pivotal their primary school was.

I’d like to thank the school community for allowing me to represent you. If you see me around do stop me and have a chat.
